The main unit which taken part in air combats over Korea became 64-th Fighter Aviation Corps . It is created in 15-nov-1950 by the order of the Joint Staff of the USSR № 5564. Unit formed on territory of the Peoples Republic of China for the period from 15 November till 24 November 1950. The structure included three fighter aviation divisions in which total included: 844 officers, 1153 sergeants and 1274 soldiers. The HQ was placed in the Mukden city, and all airplanes were placed on the Chinese Mukden, Anshan and Andun Air Bases. The main purposes of soviet MiG-15 pilots was protection civil objects in North Korea.
